Summary
Cilexin is a natural male enhancement supplement formulated to support testosterone levels, boost libido, and improve overall sexual performance. Made with a blend of clinically-researched ingredients like Tongkat Ali, L-Arginine, Maca Root, and Zinc, Cilexin works by enhancing blood flow, promoting hormonal balance, and increasing energy and stamina. Users report improvements in libido, erection quality, and confidence with consistent use, typically over several weeks. While not a quick-fix solution, Cilexin offers a safe, non-prescription alternative for men seeking a holistic approach to revitalizing their sexual health and vitality.
User Review
( vote)Cilexin combines ingredients such as L-arginine, tongkat ali, Panax ginseng, maca and zinc. Several have human research relevant to sexual health, but ingredient evidence is not the same as proving the complete Cilexin formula works. For shoppers prioritizing finished-product clinical evidence, we currently prefer VigRX Plus.
✓ Best for: men who want a non-prescription daily sexual-health supplement
✓ Strength: transparent expectations—the manufacturer says it is not an ED treatment and does not increase penis size
✗ Limitation: we found no published randomized trial of the finished Cilexin formula
What Is Cilexin?
Cilexin is a daily dietary supplement marketed for male sexual health, arousal and mood. The manufacturer describes it as nutritional support rather than a treatment for erectile dysfunction. That distinction matters: Cilexin is not a prescription ED drug, and its own website specifically says users should not expect instant erections or an increase in erect penis size.
Each bottle contains 60 tablets, a 30-day supply at the recommended two-tablet daily serving. The manufacturer says Cilexin is made in the United States in an FDA-registered facility following GMP guidelines. FDA registration should not be confused with FDA approval of the supplement itself.
Cilexin Ingredients: What Has Evidence?
Cilexin uses a multi-ingredient formula. The most relevant ingredients include L-arginine, tongkat ali (Eurycoma longifolia), Panax ginseng, maca and zinc, alongside a proprietary blend of additional botanicals and nutrients.
L-Arginine
L-arginine is a precursor to nitric oxide, a signaling molecule involved in blood-vessel relaxation. That mechanism is relevant to erection physiology. Human research exists for arginine in sexual-health contexts, but the evidence does not establish that the amount and combination used in Cilexin will produce a clinically meaningful erection benefit for an individual user.
Tongkat Ali
Tongkat ali has human research examining libido, sexual function and testosterone-related outcomes. Results are interesting but not uniform across populations or preparations. We therefore view it as a potentially useful ingredient rather than proof that Cilexin raises testosterone or treats sexual dysfunction.
Panax Ginseng
Panax ginseng has been studied for erectile function and vascular mechanisms. Evidence is more substantial than for many herbs used in male-enhancement products, but study quality, extracts and doses vary. Again, evidence for an ingredient cannot automatically be transferred to the complete Cilexin formula.
Maca and Zinc
Maca has some human evidence related to sexual desire. Zinc is an essential nutrient involved in normal reproductive and endocrine function, but taking extra zinc does not mean testosterone will rise in men who are already zinc sufficient.
Does Cilexin Have a Clinical Trial?
We did not find a published randomized controlled trial testing the finished Cilexin product. This is the biggest limitation in our assessment.
A systematic review of popular over-the-counter testosterone and erectile-dysfunction supplements found that many commonly used ingredients have at least some randomized-trial research, yet evidence across ingredients was frequently conflicting, negative or limited. This is why Male Enhancement Report separates ingredient-level evidence from finished-product evidence.
Cilexin’s manufacturer also frames its scientific case primarily around research on individual ingredients rather than a clinical trial of Cilexin itself.
What Cilexin Can—and Cannot—Reasonably Claim
A reasonable interpretation is that Cilexin supplies nutrients and botanical ingredients with plausible relevance to libido, vascular function and sexual health. It is much harder to conclude that Cilexin itself will reliably improve erectile dysfunction, raise testosterone, or produce a specific improvement in sexual performance.
Importantly, the manufacturer explicitly says Cilexin is not a treatment for erectile dysfunction and users should not expect an increase in erect penis size. That is a more responsible position than the permanent-enlargement claims sometimes seen in this market.
If permanent enlargement is your goal, see our evidence review of whether penis enlargement pills work. Supplements have not been credibly shown to permanently increase penile length or girth.
Cilexin vs. VigRX Plus
| Factor | Cilexin | VigRX Plus |
|---|---|---|
| Daily supplement | Yes | Yes |
| Ingredient-level sexual-health evidence | Yes | Yes |
| Published randomized trial of finished formula | Not found | Yes |
| Permanent enlargement proven | No | No |
| Our overall ranking | Alternative | #1 |
The main reason we rank VigRX Plus ahead of Cilexin is not that every VigRX Plus ingredient is necessarily superior. It is the existence of a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of the finished VigRX Plus formula. That gives us a stronger product-specific evidence base.
Our broader male-enhancement hierarchy remains #1 VigRX Plus, #2 Erectin, #3 MagnaRX+. See the methodology and comparisons in our Best Male Enhancement Pills guide.

How to Take Cilexin
The current manufacturer directions say to take two tablets daily, with one around the middle of the day and one in the evening, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Follow the current product label because formulas and directions can change.
Cilexin Price and Return Policy
At the time of this update, the official Cilexin site lists one 60-tablet bottle at $39.99, two bottles at $72.96, and a three-bottle-plus-one-free package at $109.44. Prices and promotions can change.
The manufacturer states that unopened bottles may be returned within five months of purchase, subject to its return/refund terms. Read the current merchant policy before ordering.
Safety: What to Know Before Taking Cilexin
“Natural” does not automatically mean risk-free. Multi-ingredient sexual-health supplements may interact with medications or medical conditions. L-arginine can affect vascular function, while herbs and minerals can have their own interactions and tolerability issues.
More broadly, U.S. health authorities warn consumers to be cautious with products marketed for sexual enhancement because some products in this category have contained undeclared drug ingredients. That warning is about the category and does not mean Cilexin has been shown to contain a hidden drug.
If you use nitrates, blood-pressure medicines, anticoagulants or other prescription drugs—or have cardiovascular disease, diabetes or persistent erectile dysfunction—discuss supplements with a qualified healthcare professional. Persistent ED can also be a sign of an underlying health problem.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Uses several ingredients with human sexual-health research.
- Manufacturer clearly states it is not an ED treatment.
- Manufacturer does not claim the product increases erect penis size.
- Relatively straightforward two-tablet daily regimen.
- Current entry price is lower than many premium male-enhancement formulas.
Cons
- No published randomized trial of the finished Cilexin formula found in our review.
- A proprietary blend makes some ingredient-level dose evaluation difficult.
- Ingredient evidence does not guarantee that the complete product will work.
- Not a substitute for evidence-based evaluation or treatment of erectile dysfunction.
Who Is Cilexin Best For?
Cilexin makes the most sense for an adult man who understands that it is a dietary supplement—not an ED medication—and wants a relatively affordable daily formula built around recognizable sexual-health ingredients.
We would skip it if your primary requirement is strong finished-product clinical evidence, if you expect permanent penis enlargement, or if you have persistent ED that has not been medically evaluated.
Final Verdict: Is Cilexin Worth It?
Cilexin is more credible than its old “ultimate male enhancement” positioning suggested, but the evidence needs to be interpreted carefully. Its formula contains several ingredients worth studying, and we like that the current manufacturer sets realistic expectations around ED treatment and penis size. The weakness is the absence of direct randomized evidence for the finished formula.
For that reason, Cilexin remains an alternative rather than our top recommendation. For shoppers who prioritize product-specific clinical evidence, VigRX Plus remains our #1 male-enhancement supplement.

How We Scored Cilexin
This score reflects our independent review of the current label and claims—not customer-star ratings. Each category is weighted equally.
Product-specific takeaway: Cilexin’s sexual-performance positioning is much clearer than the accessible evidence supporting its specific formula, leaving substantial uncertainty about expected benefit.
