Several scientifically accepted studies have been done on ArginMax. A study in 1998, published in the Hawaii Medical Journal, found that the supplement may be able to help men dealing with sexual dysfunction.
Of the 21 men in the study, 19 reported some improvements in erections and sexual satisfaction. A 2008 study in the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy tracked 108 women for one-month and followed their progress as they took ArginMax or a placebo. Over two-thirds of the women taking ArginMax reported improvements in sexual satisfaction and desire.
Ingredients
ArginMax features two slightly different formulas, one for women and one for men. Both formulas contain the amino acid L-Arginine, ginseng, a mild stimulant, ginkgo, and various vitamin and minerals.
Supposedly, the formula boosts the production of nitric oxide in the body, leading to increased circulation and allowing greater engorgement and arousal in the sexual organs. The formula for women includes calcium and iron to promote general health and damiana an herb reportedly capable of calming anxiety.
Ginseng
Panax ginseng has been a part of Chinese medicine for thousands of years. It is used in connection with many conditions such as cancer, anxiety, colds, flu and for lowering blood levels of sugar and cholesterol, as in type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol.
Most commonly known as an adaptogen, Panax ginseng is currently being used in Asian countries to treat heart conditions and lungs, as well as for an overall health enhancer. Panax ginseng has been known to have a relaxing effect on the muscles in the lungs. The resulting airway relaxation may help to calm asthma symptoms and other airways constricting lung conditions.
Dosage: The recommended dosage when making it as a tea is between 800mg and 2g, depending for what you are using it for. Capsule formulas are generally given in a dosage of 100 to 600 mg per day, usually in divided doses.
Damiana (Turnera diffusa)
It is well known in southwestern cultures as a sexuality tonic and is recommended by many top herbalists. It stimulates the intestinal tract and brings oxygen to the genital area. It also increases energy levels which does a lot to restore libido and desire.
In women, Damiana often restores or improves the ability to achieve orgasm. Damiana is used primarily as an energy tonic and an aphrodisiac for both men and women.

Side Effects
Facial flushing has reportedly occurred after taking ArginMax. Ginseng has also been known to cause irritability, nervousness, and sleeplessness while ginkgo can cause stomach upsets, diarrhea, and headaches.
Negatives

Is It Worth It?
ArginMax can usually be purchased for $20 to $30 for a one month supply. The price is reasonable and the use of legitimate scientific studies and mention by a number of media outlets is reassuring.
Some medical experts, however, doubt the potency of the ingredients and believe that any benefits achieved from taking the product may be a result of a general improvement in feeling healthy from the vitamins, minerals, and herbs included in the formula.
They also point out that the studies done were small, non-clinical, and relied on patient reports, not laboratory measurements to determine if improvements were made.
Men and women who do decide to purchase ArginMax may experience some improvements but this formula is far from being a miracle drug. The use of more balanced formulas with more higher grade ingredients would be a better choice.
